A citizen of Mexico was sentenced Monday to 46 months in prison for his drug-dealing activity in Western Washington, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice.

Omar Arellano-Hernandez, 28, was arrested after showing up to deliver over 6 pounds of methamphetamine to another drug trafficker in Puyallup.

Once inside Arellano-Hernandez’s motel room, agents seized more methamphetamine and over $34,000 in cash.

He has been in custody since his arrest in April 2020.

Arellano-Hernandez will likely be deported following his prison term.
