SEATTLE — Byron Maxwell will reportedly sign with the Philadelphia Eagles when free agency begins on Tuesday.
ESPN reports Maxwell told them he was 'going to Philly.'
Maxwell, 27-years-old, has been a cornerback with the Seattle Seahawks since 2011.
Seahawks general manager John Schneider recently addressed the interest he imagined Maxwell would generate in free agency.
"Byron is one of ours. It would be hard to see him leave," Schneider said -- according to the Seahawks' article. "But I think his market would be pretty strong. He's a heck of a kid and a heck of a player."
Maxwell's agent took to Twitter to say that the move was not yet official.
