MUKILTEO, Wash. — Snohomish County detectives are asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing Edmonds teen in the Mukilteo area.
Authorities are conducting a missing persons investigation for 16-year-old Tyler Christensen, who was last seen Tuesday night in the Beverly Park area.
He left his home on foot to attend a youth group meeting at a church in the 4700 block of 116th Street Southwest in Mukilteo. However, Christensen didn't arrive at the church and didn't return home.
His family reported him missing about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Christensen was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue shorts. He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with blue eyes and light brown, buzz-cut hair.
Authorities said Christensen has no runaway history and his disappearance is considered suspicious because he has ties to his family and church.
Search operations for Christensen were suspended for the night Wednesday.
