A promotional video for “Family First,” the Marshawn Lynch story was posted to YouTube on Monday.
But there are few new details about the project: no release date has been set, according to the post.
Last April, there were casting calls in Oakland for a film about Lynch’s life. At least 250 people showed up and the actors were drawn from the Bay Area, according to a news report.
The Seahawks running back grew up in the Bay Area, attending Oakland Technical High School where he became an All-American and was voted San Francisco East Bay Player of the Year. Click here to see video of Lynch playing in high school.
The film project is expected to cover his childhood, his time at Cal where he became Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year in 2006, and his time with the Seahawks.
The short video, posted to YouTube by director Mario Bobino, "is only a promotion to spark interest in this Bio Picture Production," according to the video description.

YouTube users took to the comments with mixed reviews such as, “Anything Lynch is a must watch,” and “This is going to be ‘The Room’ of sports movies.”
