BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Police are warning residents in Whatcom County about someone posing as a local heating and air conditioning employee.
Feller Heating and Air Conditioning and Marr's Heating and Air Conditioning in Bellingham told police a man called their customers acting as if he was an employee.
The scammer tells customers they need to set up a furnace servicing appointment.
He then shows up at the home, pretends to do work, gets paid, and then leaves before the homeowners realize the service was fake.
