EDMONDS, Wash. — Edmonds police are asking for the public’s help in investigating a violent assault in the parking lot of the McDonald’s on Highway 99.
A 37-year-old man was assaulted by four people after attempting to intervene in a fight between a man and a woman and both turned on him.
The man sustained serious injuries to his head and body after being attacked while on the ground. All of the parties involved in the attack fled the scene before police arrived.
Witnesses said that two black men and two women of unknown race were responsible for the assault. A white or silver Volkswagen Passat was described as a possible suspect vehicle.
Investigators are trying to determine if any video evidence is available from citizens or nearby businesses.
