Both directions of State Route 18 near 304th were closed on Tuesday night after a serious collision caused by a wrong-way driver, according to Washington State trooper Rick Johnson.
Two cars were involved in the collision and a second pair of vehicles were involved after trying to avoid the scene.
The wrong-way driver died at the scene.
Another driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
