CENTRALIA, Wash. — A woman was struck and killed by a freight train Monday afternoon in Centralia.
Police said the collision occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Locust Street and Railroad Avenue.
The woman, around 50 years old, was pronounced dead at the hospital, fire officials said.
Witnesses are being interviewed by the Centralia Police Department.
The train tracks have reopened to traffic.
