Fire rips through Everett duplex

EVERETT, Wash. — A fire ripped through an Everett duplex Friday afternoon, sending at least one person to the hospital.

The fire happened in the 700 block of Center Road south of Everett.

Chopper 7 flew over the fire as crews were working to knock it down.

Fire officials said one unit of the two-story building was engulfed in flames.

A woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and two boys were treated at the scene.

Officials told KIRO 7 at least seven people are displaced.

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
