SEATTLE — Two Washington state ferries have “grown” mustaches for the month of November.
Washington State Ferries teamed up with the Movember Foundation to bring awareness to men's health issues by sporting giant black mustaches on the Puyallup and Tacoma. The pilot program is the first time there’s been such a display on a Washington state ferry.

The Movember Foundation encourages men to sign up on Movember.com and grow mustaches to raise funds and awareness for men's health.
Since 2003, the foundation has receive support from more than 5 million men and women across the world. More than 1,200 research and support programs focused on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention have been funded.
"We've had mustaches on planes, trains and automobiles, but never anything as large as a Washington state ferry," said Adam Garone, co-founder and U.S. country director at the Movember Foundation. "We're super excited to be part of this first ever pilot program to help raise awareness for the health of our husbands, fathers, friends, brothers and sons."
