Washington companies make Forbes’ lists of ‘America’s Best Employers’

Six companies based in Washington made the top 100 in Forbes’ lists of America’s Best Employers for 2022.

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to compile a list of companies by surveying 60,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees.

The final list ranks 500 large (more than 5,000 employees) and 500 midsize (1,000 to 5,000 employees) companies that received the most recommendations from employees.

The Washington companies that made the top 100 in Forbes America’s Best Large Employers list are:

• Alaska Airlines — #70
• Costco — #17
• Microsoft — #15
• Slalom Consulting — #53

For the list of America’s Best Midsize Employers, Redfin came in at #38 and WaFd Bank, Washington Federal Bank’s parent company, came in at #92.

Other Washington companies made the two lists of 500 large and midsize employers, just not within the top 100.
