SEATTLE — Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man seen on surveillance video dragging a 19-year-old woman across the ground during a purse-snatching on Sunday afternoon.

The woman was walking in the 900 block of Second Avenue in downtown Seattle just after 2 p.m. on Nov. 28 when a man walked up behind her, grabbed her purse and knocked her to the ground.

Surveillance video showed the woman, who was clinging to her purse, being dragged by the man, who was also gripping the purse.

The man was last seen running west along Marion Street.

The incident left the woman with cuts and bruises.

Detectives released surveillance video of the attack in the hopes that someone may recognize the suspect.

The victim described the man as Hispanic, in his 20s, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with a light complexion.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Seattle Police Department robbery unit at 206-684-5535.
