The Snohomish County Fire District (SCFD) says two people who drove past road closure signs became stuck in floodwater and needed to be rescued.
With assistance from the Washington National Guard, Sky Valley Fire, and SCFD, the two people, along with their two kittens, were safely brought back to dry land.
Authorities warn that if you see a road closed sign, do not try to drive past.
