SEATTLE — Target is hiring 70 people for its new small-format store on Seattle’s University Way that is slated to open July 21.

The company is hosting an additional hiring fair on Saturday, June 15, on the first floor of the Northgate Target store from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Candidates are encouraged to apply at Target.com/careers.

Store leaders will hold both pre-scheduled and walk-in interviews with applicants.

Small-format stores serve customers in urban areas, dense suburban neighborhoods and near college campuses, where a full-size store wouldn’t fit.

The new U-District store will offer an assortment of food and beverage items, beauty products, clothing and portable technology products.

Target said it offers employees various education benefits, such as tuition and GED reimbursement.
