State Transportation Commission wants your help naming the next new ferry

The Washington State Transportation Commission is getting ready to launch the next new ferry and wants your help picking a name.

The commission received 19 eligible name proposals and reduced the list to six finalists that it is asking the public’s input on.

The new ferry will be a 144-car, hybrid-electric Olympic Class ferry.

The options are:

  • Wishkah
  • Stillaguamish
  • Snoqualmie
  • Enie Marie
  • Stehekin
  • Muckleshoot

You have until Tuesday, Nov. 30 to provide public comment. The final name decision will be made at the commission’s Dec. 14 meeting.
