OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington Department of Health launched a new version of its online dashboard on Wednesday to help track the spread of coronavirus.
The dashboard gives everyone access to the same data that health experts use to determine which counties can move forward in the reopening phase.
It also lays out whether the state is meeting its goals in several key factors.
Users can track metrics such as:
- The number of newly diagnosed COVID-19 cases per every 100,000 residents during the past two weeks.
- The number of people tested for each new case during the last week.
- The percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 during the last week
- The percent currently occupied hospital beds
- The percent of hospital beds occupied by COVID-19 patients
The dashboard defaults to show the numbers for the whole state, but users can select a county to see how it is progressing.
