Search underway for hit-and-run driver after pedestrian struck

TACOMA, Wash. — Police are searching for a driver who struck and injured a pedestrian Friday night in Tacoma.

Officers were called around 8:30 p.m. to the intersection of Tacoma Avenue South and South 38th Street.

Police said a vehicle struck a 25-year-old man and then fled.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the hit-and-run collision or has information about the vehicle is asked to call 911.
