Renton crews contain 2nd alarm brush fire near SR 900

RENTON, Wash. — Renton firefighters have contained a 2nd alarm brush fire near State Route 900 and Oaksdale Avenue.

Crews first tweeted about the fire at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday.

“Crews on-scene reporting large brush fire in ravine with limited access and spreading,” said Renton firefighters.

At 10:11 a.m. crews tweeted that they contained the fire and are working on fully extinguishing it.

Crews also said Kent firefighters and Port of Seattle firefighters are assisting.
