SEATTLE — A 32-year-old man is recovering at Harborview Medical Center after being struck by a car in Seattle’s International District, Seattle police said.
Authorities said at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday night, the driver of a Chevrolet Impala was traveling eastbound in the 900 block of South Jackson Street and hit the man, who was reportedly riding an electric scooter on the road.
The driver, a 50-year-old woman, fled the scene and returned minutes later and talked to officers, officials said.
The woman showed signs of impairment and was arrested after she failed a field sobriety test, police said.
The woman was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of DUI and giving a false name and other details to officers.
