SEATTLE — Seattle police broke up a large fight involving 30 to 50 people at the South Park Community Center Sunday night.
Officers were called to the community center at 9:53 p.m. after receiving reports of a large-scale fight with at least one woman who was unconscious.
Officers said they arrived to find a “chaotic and sprawling scene” with fights still in progress.
Once the scene was mostly calmed down, medical aid was given to the unconscious person, and as more officers arrived, other victims were attended to.
One person had been choked until they passed out, another had been hit in the head and claimed to have lost consciousness, and a third victim was punched in the ear.
One victim went to Swedish Hospital on their own, one was treated at the scene and one was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Police said the main suspect had left the scene and many of the remaining people at the community center were unwilling to give officers information.
