Pierce County Sheriff's Department deputies help paint vandalized fences

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — This past week, community liaisons from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department rolled up their sleeves and helped repaint vandalized fences in the community.

This was part of a partnership with Safe Streets, a nonprofit organization that helps bring people together to take back their streets. By forming neighborhood groups, the Safe Streets campaign helps link residents with agencies and organizations that work together to make neighborhoods safer.

Deputies worked together to give two heavily vandalized fences a makeover and improve community pride for homeowners and local businesses.
