SULTAN, Wash. — One person made it out safely when the Sultan home they were in exploded early Thursday morning.
Fire crews went to the home after receiving the report of a large explosion around 5:45 a.m.
Officials said the front of the house’s garage had “blown off the house” and a fire had started.
The only person inside the home when it exploded made it out safely through the back, fire officials said.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire and explosion is still being investigated. When PSE officials got to the home, they turned off the gas.
Officials are not sure whether it was a natural gas explosion.
The home, in the 12000 block of Kessler Drive, is a total loss, police said.
