ANACORTES, Wash. — A person on a motorized scooter died after being struck by a car Friday evening in Anacortes, authorities said.
The crash happened just after 10 p.m. on State Route 20 at Christianson Road.
Officials said the car was going westbound when the person on the scooter crossed in front of the car.
The person on the scooter died at the scene, authorities said.
It is not known if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
