CLALLAM COUNTY, Wash. — A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on westbound U.S. 101 on Wednesday evening in Port Angeles, troopers said.
The collision happened just east of Deer Park Road.
The person appeared to be trying to cross the road whey they were struck, trooper said.
Officials said the victim was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead.
The driver was not injured.
The collision remains under investigation.
