Paul Allen announces plans for 3-day Seattle music festival

SEATTLE — For three days next year, Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood will be transformed into a large music festival.

Billionaire Paul Allen announced plans for the Upstream Music Festival and Summit, scheduled for May 11 to 13, 2017.

The three -day festival will feature music, exhibitions and conference presentations revolving around the tech industry.

The event will showcase more than 200 artists in more than 25 venues in Pioneer Square, CenturyLink North Plaza and the CenturyLink Field Event Center.

According to Upstream's website, pre-sales will open later this fall.
