OLYMPIA, Wash. — Several ramps on Interstate 5 in Olympia were closed Monday as crews conducted routine maintenance work and a large-scale cleanup effort.
The closures started at 8:30 a.m. and continued through 3 p.m.
Several ramps were closed between 14th Avenue Northeast and Pacific Avenue while crews worked to repair guardrails and signs, remove overgrown vegetation and sweep the ramps.

State Department of Corrections crews were also working to remove litter off the shoulders of I-5 from Tumwater to Lacey through 3 p.m.
The right shoulder was closed on I-5 from Trosper Road to Martin Way while crews worked to sweep dirt and debris.
The Washington State Department of Transportation encouraged drivers to remember to slow down in work zones and watch for road crews during the closures.
