WESTERN WASHINGTON — Three Western Washington nursing homes will be opening dedicated coronavirus units to treat patients and minimize the spread of the virus to other residents in the facility.
Avamere Transitional Care of Puget Sound, Richmond Beach Rehab and Avamere Bellingham Health Care and Rehab will have a total of 135 beds available.
“The creation of COVID-19 units is the next step we need to take to ensure we are protecting Washingtonians who are most at risk for getting the virus," said DSHS’ Aging and Long-Term Support Administration Assistant Secretary Bill Moss.
