NB I-405 in Bellevue shut down due to chase ending in crash, driver’s arrest

A chase that started in Seattle with police and was picked up by troopers on northbound I-405 near Coal Creek in Bellevue has resulted in a driver’s arrest on Thursday night.

During the chase, the driver tried to turn around on the freeway but hit another car, causing the majority of northbound I-405 to shut down.

Troopers arrested the driver after deploying bean bags.

No injuries were reported.

Traffic at one point was getting by on the far right lane but lanes have since reopened.

The incident is under investigation.
