The new, free testing site will open Thursday and will be located across from the Enumclaw Municipal Building.
The site will be open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will be open to anyone.
According to health officials, the recent rates of COVID-19 and hospitalizations are higher in the city of Enumclaw compared to the county as a whole. Officials said the number of people getting tested in that area is lower than in other parts of the county.
“This site will help close the gap in access to testing, particularly to reach people in more rural areas that otherwise would have to commute long distances to access testing including in Black Diamond, Bonney Lake and Lake Tapps areas,” according to a news release.
