The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe issued a warning Thursday to families of after a series of cougar sightings.
“We are asking families to take extra precautions this afternoon,” the alert stated on Facebook.
Families were told to have a parent or guardian present when a child is dropped off at a bus stop or at home. The warning came from the tribe’s education officer.
The alert did not say how many sightings there were or where they happened.
