Man struck, seriously injured by car in West Seattle

SEATTLE — A 35-year-old man was struck by a car and seriously injured Friday night in West Seattle, Seattle fire officials said.

Police said the man was trying to cross 35th Avenue SW between Avalon and Fauntleroy when he was struck.

Seattle police said the pedestrian was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
