Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a car in Tumwater.
According to police, the man was wearing all dark-colored clothing while walking in the 8400 block of Old Highway 99 Southeast around 1:43 a.m. Thursday when they were hit by a car heading southbound.
The driver of the car, a 27-year old man from the Thurston County area, stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
A Washington State Patrol drug recognition expert was called to the scene and determined that the driver showed no signs of impairment from drugs or alcohol.
