A local man says his health has been affected after he was shocked by a pay phone booth outside a Tukwila grocery store last month.
The man told KIRO 7 on July 17 he was standing in front of the Riverton Grocery Store on Tukwila International Boulevard while drinking a canned soda as he talked to others.
After setting his canned beverage on a phone booth, he picked it up and felt a surge of electricity so strong, it threw him against the store's wall.
Other people who were nearby helped the man until medics arrived.
After seeing a doctor, the man was told his kidneys and heart were affected by the electrical current.
