YAKIMA, Wash. — A man is dead after an armed robbery turned into an officer-involved shooting in Yakima.
The Yakima County Sheriff's Office says the suspect was robbing a mini-mart at gunpoint and then led police on a chase.
Police said the suspect started shooting at officers before losing control of the car.
Deputies say two Yakima police officers fired back at the suspect, killing him.
The two officers are on administrative leave while the sheriff’s office investigates.
