SEATTLE — A man was killed in a crash on Elliott Avenue West in Seattle Monday morning.
The Seattle Fire Department first tweeted about the crash at Elliott and West Mercer Place at about 6:15 a.m.
Firefighters said the driver of a truck crashed into a pole. He was reported to be trapped inside the truck.
Fire crews extricated the man from truck. Medics tried to save the man’s life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of noon, the two right northbound lanes of Elliott remained blocked. The left northbound lane is open.
