SEATTLE — Update: Power has been restored to all but 223 customers.
Seattle City Light reported that 10,200 customers were without power in the Queen Anne, Fremont, Magnolia, Interbay and Ballard neighborhoods.
The outage was reported just after 1 a.m. Friday Morning.
By 2:45 a.m. Friday, power to around 2,400 customers in Ballard had been restored. Over 7,800 remained without power.
By 4:15 a.m., only 223 were without power.
Seattle City Light says the cause of the outage was a blown transformer. They estimate power will be restored to the area at by 8 a.m. Friday.
