Husky football game resumes after storm moves out

UPDATE: Teams will take the field at 10:15 p.m., and the game is scheduled to resume at 10:30 p.m., according to Washington Athletics.

Tonight's Washington Huskies football game against the California Golden Bears has been delayed due to lightning in the area.

KIRO 7 learned people on the field at Husky Stadium were asked to leave the field.

Those watching the game in an uncovered area were asked to seek shelter.

The game has been delayed more than an hour and may not restart until 10 or 11 p.m.
