RENTON, Wash. — A landslide has caused a small stretch of Maple Valley Highway in Renton to be blocked.
The slide, which carried debris down a hillside, occurred near the 2200 block of the highway, police said.
Firefighters said they were waiting on a crew with the Washington State Department of Transportation to arrive and assess the unstable hill.
No one was injured.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
No time was given on when the road would reopen.
