SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — Officers from multiple agencies seized drugs, guns and thousands cash during a traffic stop in Snohomish County Thursday afternoon.
Investigators said when deputies stopped a suspicious car on Airport Road and Highway 99 around noon, the driver at first sped toward them before stopping. The passenger in the car then jumped out and ran. Deputies chased the man for a short time before taking him into custody.
Authorities said the driver and passenger, both men in their 20s, had outstanding Department of Corrections felony warrants.
While searching one of the men, detectives found a loaded gun in his pocket. A further search found 246 grams of methamphetamine, 55 grams of cocaine, $13,736 in cash, and a second loaded gun which was reported stolen, according to detectives.
The driver and the passenger were both arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
The Snohomish County Drug Task Force, Violent Offender Task Force and officers from the Mukilteo Police Department were involved in the arrests.
