Home Depot is hiring 105 people for freight positions in Washington during its busiest time of year.
The home improvement retailer is holding hiring events at all Washington stores on Wednesday, June 27 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Most positions are full time and all candidates must apply online before they attend the event.
According to the Home Depot website:
Associates in Freight/Receiving positions ensure the store is stocked and ready for business every day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts and may perform critical functions for maintaining proper on-hands and pricing for our customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required for some positions and excellent customer service skills are required. The Freight/Receiving positions may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.

Home Depot says the application takes about 15 minutes. There is also the option of texting HOMEDEPOT to 52270 to receive a link to apply to hourly positions in their area.
Benefits including medical and 401K begin on the first day of employment for qualifying positions.
