SEATTLE — More than 30,000 gypsy moth traps are going up around the state this week, including on Seattle’s Capitol Hill.
The State Department of Agriculture has completed its aerial sprays and will now rely on the traps.
According to the Capitol Hill Blog, there will be 70 percent more traps this year than usual.
The gypsy moths are known for defoliating trees and shrubs, sometimes killing them.
