Georgetown Brewery sells canned Manny’s Pale Ale, proceeds go to local restaurant relief

SEATTLE — Georgetown Brewery in Seattle is selling their flagship brew, Manny’s Pale Ale beer, in cans for a limited time. Proceeds go toward supporting Washington State restaurant workers through local charities.

The brewery posted on Facebook Friday stating single cans and cases for the popular brew will be available for purchase, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday. This limited run will be on for the next six weeks.

“Our plan is to make it so that you should be able to stroll into the brewery any day of the week to get some cans over the next few weeks," the brewery stated on a Facebook post.

Long lines were planned for Saturday morning during the start of pick-up hours, and the brewery said they would continue to practice safe social distancing and health guidelines.

“Staff will be wearing masks and sanitizing pin pads after each transaction, but we know for some of you that might not be enough. Curbside pick up will be available,” the brewery said online.

The brewery added that local grocery stores will also have the beer in stock after Memorial Day holiday.

On its website, the brewery says it will be open only for beer-to-go purchases, such as cans, kegs and growlers.
