Five-car accident in Mountlake Terrace

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. — Distracted driving in Mountlake Terrace led to five cars colliding with one another on I-5 Monday morning.

Washington State Trooper Rocky Oliphant said the front vehicle had slowed down for traffic when the second vehicle, who was following too close, struck the first vehicle.

This was followed by the third, fourth and fifth vehicles.

One driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
