Fire crews battle 2-alarm fire at former Planned Parenthood building in Kent

KENT, Wash. — Fire crews responded to a two-alarm fire at a vacant building in Kent that used to be a Planned Parenthood on Friday night, according to Puget Sound Fire.

Crews were called to the building located in the 10200 block of Southeast 240th Street just after 11 p.m. Friday.

More than 40 firefighters with the Puget Sound Fire Authority, Valley Regional Fire Authority, Renton Regional Fire Authority and Tukwila Fire Department responded to the scene.

The majority of the fire was under control by about 12:20 a.m. Saturday.

Fire officials say the building was without power.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
