East Bremerton man arrested in attempted murder of wife

BREMERTON, Wash. — A man was arrested after shooting his wife in Bremerton Sunday afternoon, Kitsap County deputies said.

Deputies were called to the 8900 block of Watson Pl NE at 3:08 p.m. for an unknown problem. While deputies were on the way, Kitsap 911 updated the call to say it appeared a man had shot his wife. She was outside on the lawn and the husband was still armed.

Multiple deputies arrived and took a 36-year-old man into custody.

The suspect’s 40-year-old wife was airlifted to the hospital. Her condition is not known.

Detectives conducted interviews and processed evidence at the scene.

The man was booked into the Kitsap County Jail for investigation of attempted second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
