Early morning house fire under investigation in Kirkland

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Investigators are working to determine what started a fire at a Kirkland home on Wednesday.

Firefighters were called to the house on Northeast 95th Street shortly before 4 a.m. The home is close to Mark Twain Elementary School.

The response from fire crews and Kirkland Police closed 95th Street between 128th and 130th.

According to Kirkland police, the fire started on a back deck.

It is not known if anyone was hurt.

A Medic One ambulance was at the scene, along with a Puget Sound Energy truck.

By 5 a.m., crews were starting to pack up their equipment.
