According to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN), a magnitude 2.9 earthquake hit near Olympia, Washington, early this morning.
The earthquake happened around 3:49 a.m., about 15.85 mi north/northeast of Olympia.
Preliminary reports said the earthquake was a magnitude 3.1, but that was later downgraded to 2.9.
