Pierce County firefighters worked to contain a large brush fire in Spanaway on Saturday afternoon. The fire threatened a gas station and several homes.
The two alarm fire was located in the 19500 block of Mountain Highway in Spanaway.
Crews were able to get the fire under control at around 3:30 p.m.
