However, the answer of when to fill up changes based on where you are in the country.
In Washington state, the cheapest day to fill up is generally Tuesday. The most expensive day is Saturday.
In Oregon, gas is cheapest on Sunday. Thursday is the most expensive.
Nationwide, Friday is generally the most expensive day to buy gas.
