Public Health – Seattle & King County is investigating after at least 43 people were sickened by an outbreak of a norovirus-like illness -- with vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, chills, and fever -- associated with Brave Horse Tavern in Seattle.
Officials said since Nov. 27, 30 people from five meal parties reported getting sick after eating and drinking from the restaurant Nov. 23 and 24.
At least 11 employees experienced symptoms consistent with norovirus dating back to Nov. 24. Two employees had two household members with symptoms dating back to Nov. 20.
The restaurant was closed Nov. 27, and a thorough cleaning and disinfection was completed. The restaurant reopened Nov. 29.
